Am I eligible to apply PR?
You are eligible to apply for permanent residence if you are a/an:
- Spouse of a Singapore citizen (SC) or Singapore permanent resident (PR)
- Unmarried child aged below 21 born within the context of a legal marriage to, or have been legally adopted by, a SC or PR
- Aged parent of a SC
- Holder of an Employment Pass, S Pass, Personalised Employment Pass, or Entrepreneur Pass holders.
- Student Pass holders. They must have resided in Singapore for at least 2 years. They must also have passed at least 1 national exam (i.e. PSLE or GCE ‘N’/’O’/’A’ levels) or are in the Integrated Programme.
- Foreign investor in Singapore.
What can I do if my company does not want to support me in my PR application?
The ICA considers the circumstance that some employers are not willing to provide the Annex A document as their employees might leave them after being granted PR status. We would suggest you try your best to convince your company due to it may increase your chances. Yet, don’t worry if they really don’t want to provide you with the document. The purpose of submitting the Annex A is to prove that you are under employed, which you can also do through other documents like pay slips and such.
How long will it take to receive the outcome after PR submission?
Upon submission of documents, the PR application results may take at least 4 – 6 months.
